    Field Trips

Explore the Preserve and EcoCenter with hands-on, science-based field trips for school classes and youth organizations.

Field TripOur field trips allow students to get outside and explore, while enhancing their classroom education with field experiences.  Field trips are offered in the winter and spring, and activities change with the season.  Each field trip's curriculum is correlated with Utah's Science Core Standards for Kindergarten through 5th grade.  If your class or group fall outside of that age group, Swaner's education staff is happy to work with you to develop a program that will meet the needs of your students.

Winter field trips are typically offered January through March and are dependent on snow.  Spring field trips are offered April through June.  Field trip programs last two hours, but may be shortened upon request.

Cost: $2 per student.  Thanks to continued support from Park City Mountain and Vail Resorts EpicPromise, Swaner is able to offer a free field trip and classroom visit for every public 4th grade class in Summit County and Wasatch County.  For more information see below under "Fees and Payment".
